Ojok Boniface, Programme Coordinator

Boniface graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Administration and Sociology. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Management Studies from Uganda Martyrs University. He was a 2007 ICTJ-IJR TJ Fellow in Cape Town, South Africa.

David Opiyo, Finance and Administration Team Leader

David received his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from Boston College in the U.K. He is a graduate of Gulu University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration.

Lindsay McClain, Communications Team Leader

Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, USA, with a degree in College Scholars and a concentration on the role of the arts in peace building. She is co-founder of the initiative Music for Peace.

Evelynn Angeyo, Administrator & Human Resource Assistant

Evelynn is a graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. She is pursuing a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from Uganda Management Institute.

Patrick is a teacher by profession and holds a certificate in Grade Three Teacher Training.

Irene is an office assistant in charge of welfare at JRP’s Gulu office.

Sylvia Opinia, Community Mobilization Team Leader

Sylvia is a graduate of Uganda Christian University Mukono where she received a degree in Social Work and Social Administration. She is pursuing a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration from Uganda Management Institute.

Okwir Isaac Odiya, Community Mobilization Project Officer

Isaac is a graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts with a concentration in Organizational Studies. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in Project Planning and Management from Gulu University, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Public Administration and Management.

Lino Owor Ogora, Community Documentation & TJ Policy Team Leader

Lino holds a degree from Makerere in Social Science and previously worked for the Norwegian Refugee Council. He holds a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from Uganda Management Institute.

Ketty holds a degree from Makerere University in Community Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Conflict Management and Peace Studies from Gulu University. She was a 2009 TJ Fellow at ICTJ in Cape Town, South Africa

Michael Otim, Board Chairman, Co-founder

Michael works as Head of Office for the International Centre for Transitional Justice in Uganda. He is among Northern Uganda’s most prominent civil society activists and one of very few key players in transitional justice issues in Uganda.

Margaret Ajok, Board Member

Margaret is the Executive Director of the Center for Reparation and Rehabilitation and received a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from Makerere University in 2004.

Tonny Komakech, Board Member

Tonny is the Finance Manager at the Northern Uganda Malaria Aids and Tuberculosis Programme (NUMAT) in Gulu, Uganda. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Gulu University.

Dr. Erin Baines, Co-founder

Erin is an assistant professor at the Liu Institute for Global Issues, University of British Columbia, Canada. Her current research interests include local approaches to transitional justice; the politics of humanitarianism and forced displacement and the study of gender, youth and armed conflict.
