How to Take Action

1. Get Informed

Educate yourself on the history of northern

Uganda and the greater Great Lakes region

in which we work by visiting our History

  page (coming soon).

Also, view this list of Resources (coming

soon) to learn more about the transitional

justice debate taking place locally and

  globally.

2. Raise Awareness

Influence the debate by raising the profile of

  issues affecting grassroots communities in

  northern Uganda and elsewhere. Engage

local leaders, host events, spread the word.

3. Support JRP

Consider making a financial contribution to

JRP and ensure that the voices of war-

affected communities continue to be heard at

the forefront of TJ debates. Contact

  support@justiceandreconciliation.com for

more informantion on how to donate to JRP.

For donations to support young mothers and war affected youth in northern Uganda, you can contribute to a grassroots fund called Peace Girl.

JRP oversees the implementation of the fund and ensures each dollar goes to support persons directly in communities most in need.

Internships

Volunteering in an international project can be a rewarding and life-changing experience.

We accept applications from qualified national and international candidates to serve in voluntary, semester-long internships where they will assist staff in a wide variety of projects, including research and advocacy, community mobilisation, documentation, communications, technical support, the arts, and grassroots NGO administration.

Gulu Walk

GuluWalk started in July of 2005 as an attempt by two average Canadians to better understand the ordeal of the ‘night commuters’ of northern Uganda. It has now grown into an urgent, impassioned worldwide movement for peace. Learn more here.
