The Gender Justice department focuses special attention on the transitional justice needs of vulnerable groups and individuals seeking justice for gender-based crimes. Gender Justice is currently working primarily with war-affected women, especially those who are formerly-abducted.

Often ignored, young formerly-abducted women and their children lack a space to articulate their justice needs. We engage with formerly-abducted and conflict-affected women to articulate and advance their gender-related justice needs with policy-makers and stakeholders.
The Gender Justice team is responsible for many of the JRP publications, including Statements & Briefs.
